About Us

VGSQ assists the journeys of incarcerated Veterans and their civilian supporters through the promotion of educational, pro-social, and recreational activities cultured through the military way of life.

VGSQ activates its mission through self-directed, self-help projects and events. VGSQ members work together collaboratively, building camaraderie while overcoming challenges to create moments that uplift Veterans and serve the larger San Quentin community.

Fiesta de San Salvador - 2025

VGSQ provided Color Guard services for a multi-national flag ceremony to open San Quentin's first Fiesta de San Salvador.
